MTS has a started a list of potential projects that could be funded with a new funding source (for example, a local funding measure on the 2028 ballot). These potential projects have been formed from past project research and community feedback, but are not final. All costs and project descriptions are best estimates at this time.

MTS would not be able to fund all projects on this list, and, some projects that have been discussed in the past (for example, building the Purple Line) are expected to be outside the funding scope for any MTS local measure.

You can provide feedback on your priority projects in two ways:

  1. Project Priorities: Regardless of any associated cost, you can vote for up to three projects that you want to see MTS prioritize with any new funding it receives. Faster feedback activity (just 2 minutes or so)
  2. MTS Transit Shop: You will be given a budget of $100. Each project has a cost associated with it. Pick the projects that are most important to you for MTS to prioritize, but you have to stay under $100! A more committed feedback activity (about 5 minutes or so)

Don't see something on the list? Pick 'Other' in either project to add your own!

As a reminder, any new MTS service is expected to happen only if new state and/or local funding is received. At this time, MTS is facing a major budget gap. It is seeking opportunities for new funding in order to help close the budget gap, and expand service. However, if no new funding is identified, it is expected that MTS will need to apply major service cuts starting in 2029.
